University Graduate Workshops

Young graduates who leave University to embark on the rest of their working life often find getting the right job one of biggest challenges they’ll ever have to face. Expectations of universities are now higher than ever, with fees going up, universities are having to be more upfront about the benefits of the courses on offer and what the student are really getting for their money. Alarmingly, too many young people have no idea what to expect from a typical graduate interview process.
2engage now facilitate ‘employability’ workshops that run in conjunction with universities careers and student services, forming partnerships that aim to improve the lives of young people and assist them in taking the huge step from education to employment. Here’s some of our clients who have done more for their graduates than simply printing leaflets and resource packs:
• Bolton University
• Liverpool Hope
• West Cheshire College
• University of Chester
Through research and continued partnerships with our clients, 2engage have helped produce professional workshop sessions for post graduates focusing on the following areas:
• Interview techniques and behaviour
• Effective communication
• Confidence building
• Making and managing applications
• Building a better CV
Using the theatrical device ‘forum theatre’ and proven successful interview techniques, 2engage introduce and examine what makes a good interview and break it down into manageable sections for the participant.

Starting with body language, confidence and the initial meet and greet stage, 2engage enable participants to become active observers, equipping them with the critical tools and freedom needed to analyse good interview practice, ensuring that future interviews are approached with positivity and heightened confidence.
Wider access to Higher Education has increased the numbers competing for
graduate-level employment and there is an extensive range of booklets and self help sites for this but nothing comes close to these hands-on workshops for graduates. So stay one step ahead of the graduate crowd.
