Physical Theatre Workshop

Physical-Theatre 2engage

This workshop is simply about utilising our bodies and creating engaging theatre. We start off with some simple warm-up exercises and break the ice, an incredibly important part of the workshop, then begin building on the individual’s awareness of space, their body and fellow performers. This workshop is as much about creativity as it is about getting physical. It is an opportunity for groups to refresh their approach to their next performance and for individuals to get inventive and break their boundaries.

We make suggestions but ultimately, we give you the tools to go away and build on what is started during the workshop.

This workshop has helped groups devise physical theatre shows based on:

  • The London Riots.
  • The Holocaust.
  • Unemployment.
  • Poverty.
  • The 8 Steps to Genocide.
  • Tolerance and Understanding.
  • Peace.
  • British Politics.
