Primary Education
We want to make learning fun through drama. We have worked with primary schools around the North West and offer a varied range of inclusive workshops that are interactive and engaging for primary schools ages. Our material for younger children is designed to capture some of that endless imagination and allow them to thrive and explore a given stimulus.
The following workshops are available to book throughout the year. Want to know more? CLICK HERE

Drama Workshops From Stimulus
One thing primary children have over any creative adult is their incredible imagination. We are very experienced in writing workshops but this one in particular, is designed to harness that imagination. We are merely there to facilitate and plant the seed.
‘Dreams’ is a popular stimulus for this type of workshop, basing all activities and creation on the stimulus. However, a stimulus can be almost anything: a poem, an image, a piece of music or even drawn from their own experiences.
Transition Workshop – Moving to secondary School
This workshop has had incredible success over the last few years and can become more of a project than a workshop. The idea of this workshop started with a group of secondary teachers wanting to bridge the gap between year 6 primary school kids and their move up to secondary school.
We work with secondary schools and their feeder primaries and build friendships between year 7 and year 6 pupils through drama. Previously, we have worked with year 7′s to create a short piece of theatre in education about dispelling myths about the ‘big school’. It is then toured to the feeder primary schools and we then facilitate a workshop with both age groups together.
It is possible to run an interactive drama workshop for year 6 pupils prior to them starting high school without the secondary school being involved, where pupils are led through a series of drama exercises exploring their hopes and fears of moving to secondary school. This workshop will help them prepare them for their new schools and give insight on what to expect.
Victimisation and bullying Workshop
A hands-on drama workshop that explores the issues surrounding victimisation, bullying and respect to others. 2engage provide a high quality experience that stimulates pupil’s imagination and allows further exploration into conflict resolution and the importance of respect for others.
Team Building and team Activities
The team building workshop allows pupils to work in teams, make new friends, learn and have fun through a series of safe, interactive and entertaining games and exercises. Available as a half or full day workshop.
We have no problem with adding a ‘theme for the day’ to our team/group activities. Pervious themes have included – social enterprise, the romans, if the world was a village of 100 people and designing your own town.

Testimonial
“2engage came to the pupil support unit for a whole day. They worked with long term and dual registration children at KS2 with equal success. Children found the task challenging and fun and they covered a vital area of the literacy curriculum in drama. The children they worked with often-displayed challenging behaviour, this was not an issue during the activities. During the classes, the children were motivated and enthusiastic and afterwards expressed their views in a positive and constructive way. All who were involved were quickly engaged and took part fully”
“The work was aimed at children of all ability levels and was cross curricular linked to the history QCA study unit, the Aztecs. The children learned various aspects of Aztec life through drama and learned facts and dates through the exercises. They were also encouraged to offer ideas and thoughts on the activities. The day was a positive and pleasant one with both the drama teachers and children gaining a positive outcome.”
