Augsto Boal Workshop

Augusto Boal was a Brazilian theatre practitioner and director. His vision saw theatre as a tool for change. Working alongside often oppressed people, he used theatre to give them a voice to express themselves and make others aware of their situations. He empowered people to become active and use theatre to change their circumstances and educate others.

His well-known techniques include forum theatre, image theatre and invisible theatre, which introduced a new interactive way of working and has made an impact around the whole world.

2engage offer Boal workshops that practically apply his techniques and place these in a classroom context. Available as issue based workshops or as training for teachers, these sessions are relevant for both beginners and for more advanced users of Boal’s techniques.
