THEATRE IN EDUCATION

19 November 2009

The University of Chester approached 2engage to deliver a series of lectures to undergraduates.

These lectures were a chance for students to work with a professional company and get an insight into the performance arts industry. Students were led through practical exercises that simulated working for a theatre in education group.

YOUTH SAFETY PROJECT

18 November 2009

2engage working in partnership with Poynton high school, Cheshire fire and rescue service and Cheshire police are running a series of workshops looking at youth safety.

These sessions will aim to raise aspirations in participants and will use drama to explore issues in their community.

UNICEF WORKSHOPS

18 November 2009

2engage delivered global perspective workshops on UNICEF for Fallibroome High school. These workshops looked at the plight of children around the world and the role that UNICEF help to support them.

The interactive workshop encouraged discussions on the topic and used drama exercises to explore the issue whilst students took on roles and created drama pieces in response.

TRANSITION WORKSHOPS

17 November 2009

2engage are currently delivering transition workshops across Cheshire and Warrington on behalf of connexions.

This workshop is running throughout primary schools in the region and is aimed at year 6 students on the verge of starting high school.

Issues such as making new friends, new environments and leaving friends behind are covered in the 2 hour workshop
